Terms of use
Last updated: 11 October 2026
The French version of these terms is the reference version. This English version is provided for convenience.
1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the site budget-mensuel.ch ("Budget mensuel"), an online table to help you follow your income, expenses, savings and debts. Using the site means you accept these terms.
2. Access
The site is free to use from a recent browser, with or without an account. The publisher may change, suspend or stop it, in particular for maintenance. If it closes for good, account holders are told by email at least 30 days before, so they can export their budget.
3. Price, payment and refunds
The service is entirely free, including the account. The site sells no product, subscription or paid option and asks for no means of payment. There are therefore no terms of sale and no refund procedure. If a paid offer were ever created, its terms of sale, right of withdrawal and refund terms would be published before any order.
4. Account
The account is optional and for people aged 16 or over; under 16, the agreement of a parent or legal guardian is needed. You must use an email address that belongs to you and keep your password to yourself. An account with no sign-in for 24 months is deleted, after a warning email 30 days before. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. The publisher may delete an account used to disrupt the service, after warning you when possible.
5. Your data and backups
Without an account, what you enter stays in your browser: the publisher has no copy. With an account, a copy is stored on the server, but no backup is guaranteed. Export a backup regularly. Lines imported from a bank statement are recognised automatically: check them in the preview before adding them.
6. Nature of the calculations
Totals, balances and conversions are indicative. Exchange rates are European Central Bank reference rates and may differ from your bank's rates. Salary deduction names vary between situations. The site gives no financial, tax or legal advice.
7. Banks mentioned
The bank names offered are only typing suggestions. They are trademarks of their owners. The site has no partnership with them and connects to no bank account.
8. Fair use
You may not disrupt the site or its API, try to access another person's account, send automated messages through the contact form or use the site for illegal purposes.
9. Liability
The publisher does its best for the site to work correctly, without guaranteeing that it is free of errors or interruptions. Within the limits allowed by law, the publisher is not liable for decisions based on the site's calculations or for data loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
10. Intellectual property
The texts, layout and code of the site belong to the publisher unless stated otherwise. The IBM Plex fonts are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
11. Personal data and cookies
See the privacy policy and the cookie policy.
12. Changes to the terms
These terms may be updated. The online version, dated at the top of the page, is the one that applies. Account holders are told about important changes.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence. In case of disagreement, first write to the publisher to look for an amicable solution.
